Art Guild Raffle
The Fredericksburg Art Guild is proud to announce a second raffle for an original Ben Beckendorf  painting.  Ben has most generously donated this painting in an effort to help
us raise operating funds for the Guild.

 Ben Beckendorf  is one of our most noted artists and is a native of Fredericksburg. Talent runs in the family as Ben is the son of Charles Beckendorf, renowned local artist. Ben has developed his own style as a artist and has become known for his art as well as his music.

The drawing will be held at the Fredericksburg Art Guild on the December 3, 2010 First Friday Art Walk.

Raffle tickets are $2.00 each or 6 for $10.00 and may be purchased at the Guild located at 308 E. Austin Street in Fredericksburg. The Guild is across the street from the new Museum of the Pacific War and there is ample parking behind the Guild building. Raffle tickets may also be purchased from members of the Guild.

"The purpose of the Fredericksburg Art Guild is to educate, encourage, promote and cultivate the creation of fine arts throughout the Texas Hill Country".

The Fredericksburg Art Guild is a non-profit organization,
and was organized in 1971 by international artist, John McClusky.
A non-profit status was obtained in 1981 and over the years the Fredericksburg Art Guild has evolved into a working artist studio/gallery.Visitors are always welcome and encouraged to watch for special events and classes.

Fredericksburg Art Guild's First Friday - September 3 activities feature the opening of the September Artist of the Month Exhibition and the opening Fall Frenzy Member's Show









The September Artist of the Month is Sheila Bingham.
Sheila is a Fredericksburg native who grew up on her family's ranch overlooking Enchanted Rock. Sheila gained an appreciation of nature's beauty while attending both private and public art training. Sheila graduated from the University of Texas - Austin, first majoring in art and receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Math Education.
An award winning artist, Sheila's beautiful, detailed work in colored pencil and acrylics captures the Hill Country's landscapes, flowers and animals.

The Fredericksburg Art Guild represents 30 Hill Country Artists and exhibits fine art, jewelry, sculpture, photography, stained glass and more.

The Guild's hours are 10a.m to 4p.m. - open until 8 p.m. on the First Friday of every month. The Guild is closed on Tuesdays. The Fredericksburg Art Guild is located behind the Nimitz Museum at 308 East Austin Street. Ample, free parking is available behind the Convention and Visitors' Center.
